ORGAN

Our organ was first installed in 1901 . The W Hill & Son pipe organ was of tracker design, hand blown, with the accepted high quality pipe work of the time producing superb sounds.

An electric blower was added in 1923. Restoration of these ranks was completed in April 1999 together with electrification of the action. This allowed for the installation of thumb and toe pistons and enhancement by additional stops whose sounds are produced by the Bradford computer generation system.

The restoration and enhancement was entrusted to Malcolm Spink of Leeds and Hugh Banton of Lymm respectively, whose careful voicing have combined to give a superb instrument eminently suitable for both the demands of modern worship accompaniment and recital work.
